How Does the Ovulation Calendar Work?

Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before your next period (the luteal phase). Your fertile window spans the 5 days before ovulation through 1 day after, because sperm can survive up to 5 days. The 2 days before ovulation offer the highest conception probability.
