Postpartum Care
Navigate the postpartum period with confidence — from physical recovery to emotional adjustment.
Physical Recovery
Your body needs 6-8 weeks to recover from birth. Expect postpartum bleeding (lochia) for 2-6 weeks, uterine cramping, breast engorgement, and fatigue. Allow yourself time to heal.
Emotional Health
Baby blues affect up to 80% of new mothers and typically resolve within 2 weeks. If feelings of sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness persist beyond 2 weeks, talk to your doctor about postpartum depression.
Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is a learned skill for both you and your baby. Common challenges include latching difficulties, engorgement, and supply concerns. Lactation consultants can provide invaluable support.
